How Your Renters Can Decorate Without Damages

How Your Renters Can Decorate Without Damages

How Your Renters Can Decorate Without Damages

Renting a home is not an easy task, and renters feel hugely relieved after they have successfully rented an apartment. They are proud of their new place and would want to have it decorated beautifully. Renters want to feel at home, and they want to decorate their space to make it feel homely. This is a great idea, but landlords usually frown upon this idea because they fear that tenants may cause damage as they decorate.

Now, here comes the clash of interest, but both parties must come to an agreement. Luckily, it is possible for renters to decorate their living space without causing damage to the property, and here are some great ideas that can help.

  • Using removable wallpaper

Temporary wallpaper is a great design idea since you can take them off without messing with the paints on the wall, and surprisingly, there are some temporary wallpapers that you can use more than once.

  • Preventing Nail holes

Hanging things around the house like photographs and frames can damage the wall surface because of the holes caused by nails. Luckily, you don’t need to hammer into the plaster because adhesive hooks can serve as an alternative, making it possible to decorate walls with photos and other works without causing damages.

  • String lights

To brighten up your room, you don’t need to cause damages as you can always use string lights. They are very versatile, as you can hang them wherever you want, and even on any occasion.

  • Faux plants

You can make your home comfortable by adding some plants, but maintenance of these plants can be costly and water spills from the plant can even stain the floor, causing damage. A way around this is using faux plants as they give that impression of life in your room.

  • Folding screens

Folding screens are helpful in many ways, as they can serve as a wonderful feature against a blank wall, be it a contemporary glam or classic charm. It is a wise idea to paint your folding screen on both sides and according to your mood, swap designs. This is a fun and easy way to avoid causing damage to the building and still have your space decorated.

  • Area rug

if you are looking for ideas on how to fill empty floor spaces, you can make use of a special eye-catching rug to make the space appear beautiful and lively. Rug is good because it helps in shielding the carpet from stains and wear and tear. Rugs are very easy to replace, but with carpets, moving out can cause damages to the floor.

Conclusion

Renters can still make things work and ensure that their unit is well furnished and designed without damaging the property. Renters don’t have to live in boring surroundings without expressing themselves through designs and decoration just because they don’t want to damage the property. Landlords and tenants can surely come to an agreement, as there are alternative ways to design and decorate without damaging the property, just like the ideas listed above.
