Top 3 Real Estate Myths

Top 3 Real Estate Myths

Have you ever fallen for a myth?

Have you ever believed someone talking total crap but you trusted them because they were trustworthy?

Have you ever suffered a loss because you believed a myth and later found out it was false?

If you answered even one of those questions with a yes then you need to continue reading as we bring to you the top 5 real estate myths that can be true or false, and it is totally your call!

Any invented story, idea or concept can be defined as a myth. You all must have heard people saying that don’t believe everything that are said on the internet. Similarly, you can’t simply trust what you hear people talking about unless they have experienced it firsthand.

Now you must be wondering do even myths exist in the real estate industry. But they actually do. After all, just like any other businesses when people are involved in buying and selling, there is bound to be some misconstrued gossip.

Here are top 3 real estate myths that are commonly heard and generally talked about in the real estate industry and amongst the clients too. Let’s find out to what extent they are true or false and which one might just need debunking ASAP so that more people don’t suffer losses in such matters…

Myth#1: All real estate agents are the same

You must have heard the saying that “All men are created equal.” Well, this saying works in the opposite manner with regards to real estate industry because every agent has a different set of skill and experience as well as belongs to a different branch of work. There is no point of denial in the fact that real estate industry is a huge industry having different work branches and any one firm can be a specialist in any of them.

Therefore this myth is a false for us. Although it can totally depend upon your experience with real estate agents too but we suggest you go for first-hand experiences and do not misconstruct a rumor you have heard. Or even agree upon any false myth as it may cost you in making a decision in choosing your real estate agent.

Myth#2: The Selling Agent Bonus

This classic myth has proven true since decades now because people have seen bonus coming to them in the form of a reduced payment amount. It is a great strategy for agents too because a real estate agent will talk profit for himself when a house fits the requirement their firm is seeking and in turn, it would prove beneficial for the client. As paying for an agent can get the price higher if he introduces you to the property, therefore, this myth works in favor of both the parties.

Myth#3: The Buyer Agent

This myth is somehow that lies between being true or false because there is no source to determine whether a particular buyer agent would fit for a buyer. What you can do is to do your homework as a buyer and research about different buyer agents and find the one that fits your demands the best. It is not even necessary that the agent is particularly a buyer agent.

So here were top 3 myths that general people have spread and you should rather follow your experience than rumors and myths.
