The forward thinking owner of IG Properties teamed up with PCS Energy to achieve net zero energy bills. Upon the initial site visit it was determined that the 25-year-old roofs would be updated simultaneously. PCS Energy was able to work with IG Properties chosen roofer to produce seamless installation of both roofs and solar systems. Therefore, further energy efficacy’s were obtained by doing title 24 compliant cool roofs that helps deflect heat from the roofs surface further increasing the efficacy of the solar panels.
After analyzing the buildings average electric consumption, it was decided that two 20.5kW systems would obtain net zero energy bills for IG PROPERTIES. PCS Energy proposed the award-winning Canadian Solar 310w solar panels for their superb quality and rapid payback time. The panels were affixed to a Prosolar mounting system that are designed and manufactured in the USA.
Four single-phase German-made SMA Sunny Boy solar inverters were used for the installations, which offer a “future-proof” design, a maximum efficiency of 98.5 %, SMA OptiTrac MPP tracking and active temperature management with OptiCool. SMA is the world’s leading inverter brand and has won multiple awards for its solar products.
Through sophisticated remote moderating technology, PCS energy was able to provide an energy production guarantee on the solar systems installed. IG Properties proudly joined the green movement and will financially benefit from their decision to hire PCS Energy.
